Scheduled
In the SRS there are now a large number of contacts using handles that have not been linked to a domain or registrar in the last 90 days and seem to be no longer in-use. To clean up these unused contact handles we will begin automatically deleting any that have not been linked to a domain or your registrar in the last 90 days on the 26th of November.

This will affect registrars that use the EPP protocol as well as any registrars that use the SRS-XML protocol and which also use contact handles. If you only use the SRS-XML protocol and do not use contact handles then you may disregard this message.

Deletion of the existing unused contact handles is scheduled for 26th of November. Should you want to keep any of those contact handles they will have to be linked to either a domain or your registrar. Registrars should also try to make sure their system deletes a contact handle when it is no longer required.

The bulk deletion will not add messages to a registrars poll queue but the periodic deletion will add messages.

If you have any questions please contact registry@internetnz.net.nz.
